Tin mine at Republic of the Union of Myanmar

On July 8, 2560, the management team have traveled to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to visit and encourage local staff as well as to see the ground surface opening in the new area, moreover we have builta new machine that canextracted tin from the water in order to increase tin input into the production line.

The Company has filed an application for extension of eligibility period for delistingand SET has considered and approved the extension of the period.

Tongkah harbour Public Company Limited and its affiliated co-hosted religious ceremonies of monks delivering special prayers dedicated to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej to express gratitude towards the beloved monarch and perform good deeds in his honor. Prof. Pitsanu Bunnual, Consultant and Project Management – Specialist traveled to the Republic of Myanmar to proceed with planning for mineral production and developing tin production line on April 18-20, 2017. Then, on May 4-5, 2017, the project management – specialist went to the mine site again to inspect the mine site and check the performance of the machines.

 

The company has organized internal seminars for employees. We were honored by Professor Sukhum Nualsakul for lecturing the Tongkah family about how to combine positive thinking with living and working. It was a joyful experience for everyone as they could apply his lecture to their lives and work. In addition, the Executive has also presented the plan and situation of Tongkah Group to the Tongkah family so they could understand and continue towards the same direction. Moreover, we have participated in presenting the results of each department’s developments which is made for organizational development. 

On May 8, 2017, the Central Bankruptcy Court has announced the success of the business rehabilitation of Tongkah Harbour Public Company Limited.

– Fire Drill
On April 3, 2017, the Tongkah family at Saraburi has participated in the training of fire drills in order to know
what to do if the real situation occurs.

– Songkran Festiva
On April 12, 2017, the Tongkah family at Saraburi has organized the event of pouring water on the hands of

revered elders and asking for blessing. They have also met community leaders to build a good relationship between
the company and the community in the occasion of Songkran Festival.

-Sports activities Against “Drug abuse” 2017
The Tongkah family at Saraburi has participated in annual sports activities against drug abuse of 2017 at Wat
Thasi Pho Nuea School.

On March 22, 2017, the Central Bankruptcy Court ordered the Company to confirm the debt that we placed again and the court has schedules the date to listen to the court order about the rehabilitation plan on May 8, 2017.

The Company has entered into a tin production contract with NGWE KABAR MYANMAR CO., LTD (the counterparty) as of 21 June 2016, which the employer company has already obtain a production license so Tongkah Harbour can immediately enter the area in order to install machinery for the production line.
The mine covers an area of 812.14 acres, located in Myeik, Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The concession lifetime end on 2022 and The lifetime of the contract is effective until the tin in the area is exhausted or the concession expires.

On November 3, 2016, the Tongkah Harbour began moving machinery into the area and we have been improving the machinery to work most effectively, At present we have already been producing tin.

On November 7, 2016, the Management team traveled to Cholsin Mine in order to check the installation of second production line. At present, the 2nd production line has already been used to manufacture in order to increase the volume of the products. As a result, the total capacity of the mines has increased by 40%

On March 2 – 3, Tongkah Harbour PCL., had brought eighteen investors to visit the Tungkum Limited’s gold mine in Loei province.  Mr. Wijit Jiemwijitkul, CEO of Tongkah Harbour PCL.,guided and explained on the manufacturing process as well as security measures for employees and nearby communities. Investors also have the opportunity to meet many villagers in order to confirm the good relationship between the mine’s people and the communities.

On March 3, 2016, Tongkah Harbour PCL., had arranged for nearby villagers to visit the gold mine to understand how the mining operation works.   Nearly a hundred villagersfrom neighboring communities visited the Tungkum Limited’s gold mine at Loei Province to prove the fact that the mine has taken measures to take care of the environment and neighborhoods with the highest standard and we also give the villagers an opportunity to ask all the questions regarding their concern.
